Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)

We are helping students with disabilities explore career paths and prepare for life after highschool by offering services like job exploration counseling, work-based learning, and workplace readiness training, counseling on post-secondary education options and self-advocacy instruction to help students develop the skills and knowledge needed for future employment or further education.

Bnafsh provides two areas of Pre-ETS services: Work-Based Learning Experiences and Workplace Readiness Training.

Work-Based Learning Experiences
Under Work-Based Learning Experiences, students gain experience through:

  • Job exploration
  • Workplace tours
  • Informational interviews
  • Job shadowing
  • Volunteering
  • Temporary seasonal paid and unpaid Work Experience

Workplace Readiness Training
Under Work-Based Learning Experiences, students gain classroom instructions focused on:

  • Resume writing
  • Interview preparation
  • Dressed professionally
  • Community safety and travel
  • Nutrition and meal preparation
  • Recreation
